Effective July 1, 2009, Hawaii Energy is the new energy efficiency program administrator selected by the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission.  As the administrator, Hawaii Energy is responsible for the following programs:

For residential electric utility customers on Hawaii, Lanai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu:

• Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs) In-store Rebates
• ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebates
• High Efficiency Water Heater Rebates
• Central Air Maintenance Rebates
• Solar Water Heating Rebates & Free Inspection

For all non-residential (business, commercial & industrial) electric utility customers on Hawaii Island, Lanai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu:

•  Standard and Custom Rebates for qualified energy-efficient technologies
    o Existing Facilities
    o New Construction

Hawaiian Electric will continue to operate the EnergyScout™ program, and EnergyScout™ for Business program. These programs are currently fully subscribed, and we are working to obtain Public Utilities Commission approval to expand them in the future.
